Mentorship Program

KBH Consultancy will mentor scholars upon acceptance through to college applications to visa applications. Scholars who have hopes of an education abroad that are not accepted into the program they will have access to college application videos on our Youtube channel.

 

Mentorship

Work With Current College Students

Mentorship begins upon acceptance and each scholar is assigned a primary mentor. Consultations will include but not limited to:

  • Provide information about the educational system in America and the application timelines.​

  • Provide information about the application process (such as Common App etc.), standardized tests, essay requirements, and visa requirements.

  • Highlight the requirements to successfully study in America and abroad from an Africans’ perspective.

  • Explain the financial aid process and how you can study at an American university for a cheaper cost than at a South African university.

  • Help you start building a personal profile and begin the process of creating a strategy (such as which American universities to apply to).

  • Continuous support from the start of your application to your acceptance and arrival in college.

  • Essay reviews, mock college interviews, and study tips for the standardized tests.

  • Linking you up with university students outside KBH Consultancy.   

  • A thorough review of your application (along with a recommendation on which improvements can be made).

  • More help on getting the best financial aid in order to economize on your educational expenditures in America.

  • Help you with goal setting and calculations of your GPA.

  • Continued application support and a pre-departure orientation on what to expect (through each step).

Outreach

Students who do not make into the KBH Program:

  • YouTube content will be made available for students who do not make it into the the program helping on college essay prep, and financial aid applications.

  • KBH aims to do community service programs outside consultations
