Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer
Frederico is a student at the University of Rochester studying mechanical engineering. He hails from Luanda, Angola, but lived most of his teenage life in Windhoek, Namibia. In Windhoek, he was chosen to be a Junior Councillor of the city of Windhoek because of his demonstration to transform his society. As a Junior Councillor, he worked with other Councillors to identify and solve the core problems that hindered development in the Windhoek society. This organization taught him the values of teamwork, hard work, commitment, and perseverance.
Frederico later moved to Johannesburg, South Africa, to attend ALA (African Leadership Academy). At ALA, he went through a challenging journey, which greatly impacted his life. He was selected to be the CEO of Beam Holdings, a student enterprise at ALA that aims to produce light and eco-friendly lighting products for underprivileged families in Africa.
Due to his passion for athletics, he was chosen to be the captain of the ALA athletics team and has recently joined the University of Rochester track and field team. Frederico is our President and ALA Specialist.
Co-founder & Chief Financial Officer
Coming from a humble background in Kampala, Uganda, Dewey has been fortunate enough to attain a quality education from institutions that believe in a diverse and well-rounded education. He started his academic journey at a high school called King’s College Budo in Uganda. Graduating from the O’level system, he then attended the International School of Uganda where he got acquainted with a new style of teaching and thinking.
Shortly after attending the International School of Uganda, he got admitted into the United World College in Costa Rica where he obtained an International Baccalaureate diploma. Currently, he is a student at the University of Rochester in Upstate New York majoring in the fields of Data Science & International Business. Dewey is also our UWC Specialist.

Chief Operating Officer
Renaldo was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. His mother tongue is Afrikaans and he attended an Afrikaans primary school in Fairland, Johannesburg. When Renaldo was 12, he decided that his dream was to study in the USA. In preparation for his studies, Renaldo switched from being instructed in Afrikaans to English. He then attended Maragon Private School and later Trintyhouse Private School in Johannesburg. Renaldo had a very successful high school career and was awarded the highest possible honor in school- the White Honors School Blazer. He is also a recipient of The Duke of Edinburgh Award.
After graduating high school, Renaldo landed a position as a car salesman at Imperial Mitsubishi Motors Sandton. He decided to get some real-world experience prior to college and this position provided him with a smorgasbord of skills, which many college students lack. Renaldo’s university career started at Seton Hall University in New Jersey, USA.
Renaldo is now a 3rd year student at the University of Rochester, a prestigious research university in upstate New York. He is pursuing a Bachelor’s of Business Science degree, majoring in Finance, and plans to complete a Master’s in Finance, prior to reentering the work force. His interests are in Private Equity and Corporate Finance. The past summer Renaldo interned at LCR Capital Partners, a private equity firmed based in Westport, Connecticut. His ultimate goal is to become the CFO of a major Fortune 500 company.
Chief Marketing Officer
Samkeliso Ndlovu was born and raised in Swaziland, Africa. Growing up, he had a strong mother and two older brothers, who taught him from a young age, to fight for his dreams, no matter the obstacles he faced. Samkeliso took this advice to heart and it helped mold him into a young, disciplined, and responsible man. As a result, when he received his acceptance to the Waterford Kamhlaba United World College Southern Africa (UWCSA), he was well prepared to excel and get a quality education which embraced diversity.
Samkeliso is now a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Rochester. He looks to and leads our marketing department.
Public Relations Director
Alfredo Cumbana from Maputo - Mozambique, completed his high school in Inhambane in Mozambique. Soon he discovered his passion for Art and Science. While in high school he was elected as a President of the student body by his peers which served from 2010 to 2011. During his free time, he dedicated his time to tutor primary school students. In 2011, Alfredo was awarded a silver medal in Mathematics National Olympiad Competition in Mozambique. In 2013, he ran a tutoring program to help students struggling in high school. While running the program, he also attended a life-skills training program that was provided by American Cultural Center to prepare students for college. In 2014, he got admitted to the best and oldest Universities of Mozambique, the Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM), to major in physics. Later in the same year, Alfredo applied for international scholarships and was accepted by Akwanya (The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program) to study in US. He left UEM to major in the field of his dream. Alfredo is now majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Rochester.
Anjaana is a current junior at the University of Rochester. Majoring in International Relations and Business with a minor in Legal Studies. Her goal is to combine her understanding of business and international relations to provide consulting and legal advice to multinational corporations. Anjaana attended the African Leadership Academy (ALA) during her last two years of high school. While ALA challenged both her academic and leadership capabilities, the journey taught her many valuable lessons. While at ALA, she was both the Director General for the African Leadership Academy Model African Union (ALAMAU 2016) as well as the Chief Executive Officer for SAFCorp- a financial services firm on campus. She's had the privilege and honor to have worked with diverse organizations that have made a difference across South Africa, and the African continent. Her working experience comes from working in organizations that empower women and children, animal shelters, healthcare centers and orphanages. Being passionate about children empowerment, she was privileged to be invited to a United Nations co-sponsored UNICEF-KAICIID panel as a special guest. As a guest speaker, she was given the opportunity to share insight on the role social media plays in equipping today’s youth with the ability to achieve peace among religious groups across the world.
